Full Bore

“Full Bore” refers to all rifle shooting other than Air Rifle, Pistol Calibre and Smallbore .
The rifles our members use can be .17 inch calibre, going up to .308 inch (7.62 mm). Many of our members are also stalkers and game shooters and they find the practices and competitions we participate in are very useful. These competitions embrace both military and civilian classes of practice and can be a serious challenge and test of concentration.

We carry this out at the range belonging to our friends at the Cawdor Rifle and Gun Club about once a month, during the “clement” months. (We’ve found some of our more senior members are not so keen on the prone rifle position when there’s snow on the ground!)
